Pathé Baby was introduced in 1921 as a home movie film format. From 1922 special cameras and projectors became popular for this 9.5 mm film gauge. Single sprocket holes were located in the middle of the filmstrip between frames.

For security reasons, Pathé Baby used safety film with an acetate cellulose base.

Beautifully stencil-colored films on Pathé Baby can be found in several archives.
